You are not required to help me

As money becomes meaningless, you would think people would be happy. You would think people would be trying to learn as much as they can about the new way of life. But I am still approached by people who want things to work the way they've always worked. When I started giving away t-shirts with conversation starting truth on them, I hoped other people would see that I'm giving them away, and imitate me.

I had one person donate then message me a while later saying "I never got my shirt."

I was just thinking "Of course you never got a shirt, if I gave you a shirt in exchange for a donation, that would be selling you a shirt."

I don't sell shirts I give them away, if you want to help me give away, you are free to do that. If you don't want to help me as I give away these shirts, you should know, that  you are not required to help me give away shirts.

I don't know what is going on in the minds of these people when they approach me. I think they are just stuck in this sort of "Pay for it, get it" mentality.

No, you don't automatically get stuff from me when you help me do my thing. My thing is so important, you shouldn't be bothered by that. If you think I'm taking donation money and spending it on dumb stuff, just look at all the photos all over the internet. These photos wouldn't exist if I was taking donations and doing dumb stuff with it. Every time you see a photo of a person wearing a safer shirt you should know I had to mail out ten free shirts to get that one photo. A lot of people who receive their safer shirts never take a photo of him/her self wearing it.

I've used way more of my own money to make and distribute shirts than I have ever received in donations. This does not bother me, I think spreading this message is important.

I need help with what I'm doing, I have received a lot of help. It is interesting to see the way the help evolves. I try to give people a certain amount of ownership in what they're doing. It is hard to get people to work for zero money, but if they get a little social recognition, they can get motivated. If they get credit because they put the stencil on the shirt and used their own fabric paint, they will be more likely to move.
I try to give credit to big donors on my social networking sites. I'm not sure how much other popular websites charge, but I would like to learn.

Toke Signals has donated to Safer Shirts, I appreciate that very much.
Green Stream Radio has donated
Hand Made Apparel has donated
Van'z Medibles has donated
MMJ Universe has donated
Cannabis Farmers Markets has donated
Team Plum has donated
Sonshine Organics has donated
NW Collectives has donated
DFW NORML has donated

There are some I'm forgetting. I will add them to this list as I think of them (I love the way I can go back and edit posts).

I'm trying to think of ways to make this happen. Many people approach me in an effort to absorb the free that is being produced.

I will not dwell on this though.

I would rather focus on the people who see what I'm doing, realize it is hard, and help me.

I'm not super man. I've been able to accomplish a lot, but I am not super man.

I have not recently won the lottery.

I did not recently receive an inheritance.

I am a normal guy. I paint on shirts from the thrift store.

If you want to help me, I would love it, I will give you credit in my various ways. If you do not want to help me, you are not required to help me.

Thank you
