502 Licenses Grow Marijuana for Medical Patients

I went to the Coalition for Cannabis Standards and Ethics meeting earlier today and
Jeanne Kohl-Welles described the intentions for this upcoming session.

There was some good news in that she wants to allow every adult to grow marijuana, every adult over 21, not just patients.

There was also some bad news.
She said that all of the medical marijuana stores in Washington will have to start buying their dry bud through 502 licensed growers.

The growers who have been licensed thus far can not even grow enough for recreational stores. How are they ever going to be able to grow enough for recreational and medical?
Washington state clearly needs to allow more people to bring what they grow to medical marijuana access points. I do not know how they plan to deal with this issue, but this is pretty important and folks who care about cannabis in Washington should pay close attention.

When talking to legislators be civil, tell them your concerns and offer them ideas on HOW the state can move forward with cannabis.

Thank you for listening and participating in the creation of a Really Legal marijuana situation in Washington state (thank you to activists doing their thing in other states as well)
