WA DOH Medical Marijuana Meeting Jan 25

DOH facilitating workgroup of reps from the boards and commissions whose health care professionals can authorize the medical use of marijuana;

• Nursing Care Quality Assurance Commission
• Board of Naturopathy
• Medical Quality Assurance Commission
• Board of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery

Workgroup will develop continuing education based upon the mmj practice guidelines adopted by the board and commissions.

The public is invited to attend. Thirty minutes have been allotted for public testimony and scheduled between 12:15 p.m. and 12:45 p.m. if you are unable to attend this workgroup meeting, please submit written comments by close of business January 22, 2016 at medicalmarijuana@doh.wa.gov

Agreement on development of continuing education may require additional effort by the workgroup, in which case future meetings will be scheduled and notice will be sent to interested persons. Once completed, the results will be shared with each board and commission at regularly scheduled business meetings for review and possible adoption.
