Secret Process for Marijuana Licenses

There was an article that came out in the Chicago Tribune recently that discussed how a retired football player was trying to make some money off of a medical marijuana business.

Here is a piece from that article

"But while people like Moorehead are seeking publicity for their proposals, the state is deciding entirely in secret who will get potentially lucrative operating licenses. Even the names of applicants — and the names of those who will judge and rank the applications — are being withheld."

We don't get to know the names of the government officials who make decisions regarding who is allowed to grow marijuana? I don't like the sound of that.

This is in a different state, but I'm sure government officials in every state end up engaging in similar corrupt practices when presented with the opportunities surrounding medical marijuana.

Prevent corruption in your states medical marijuana system. Pay attention to the interaction between big business and government. Thank you.
